Default Website Design

In order to website design you have to know many programs: HTML, CSS, Javascript, Flash, Macromedia....Then, you intergrate all everything together. That is the things that I know. Good luck!!!!!

You don't need to know Flash, JavaScript or even CSS to design a website but it doesn't hurt. You may also want to learn PHP, ASP, or Ruby for website development as well.

I agree with jordan. You dont need much... My girlfriends mom uses nothing but html to make a website for her school, and she does a good job.

PHP SQL ASP and ruby are mainly for user interactions.

You don't need to know flash or any special softwares. To create web sites all you really need to know is a little about HTML and how to get around your operating system.

If you want better sites you can learn CSS, flash, php etc...

In general, I find sites that use flash are either 1) annoying, or 2) video game sites. I use ASP, ColdFusion, PHP, CSS, JavaScript, and HTML. That and jEdit, Firefox, IEtab plugin, and FireBug plugin.

Well thats true flash sites are annoying.

You know how some sites have flash startup screens. Their rather annoying and most people just skip them. In my opinion making flash sites are hard to make and a wast of time cause less people go see them, because you have to be able to support flash and have a fast enough connection to download it quickly.

I avoid flash sites, i think their terrible to use. A lot of people use stuff that can't support flash such as older browsers, so if you make a flash site you will probably lose a lot of visitors and your site won't do that well.

I can't find how to get IEtab anymore, all I find is the version for firefox 3.

Flash sites were never popular and the general population, IMO, does not like them. I suggest you avoid making one.

Default Re: Website Design

Flash sites besides being bad for SEO, they are even bad for people that don't have flash installed and even bad for the people that get annoyed with too much effects on websites etc... and even bad for people with slow connection.

So I would stay away from it.
