OK then. As they say, a markup language defines the appearance, a scripting language describes what it does. JS and PHP are both scripting languages, so I suppose you could refer to them as real 'programming languages', as opposed to XHTML and CSS.

That's such a good definition, Xav! And PHP always seemed to have a more programmy feel, even though I never did much with it.

Well after I made my web site for IT class I learned that I am really bad at making designs look good. Only did well on that because of javascript programs I made for it

I think designing things graphically is a completely different skill to being a good coder. That's why my pages all look horrid.

It is, i'm probably be a better coder than a designer my designs look horrible.


Business web site made for school

I know almost all of the properites of CSS but don't know how to use them to make a decent design. Actually it uses tables which made it even harder. I got lazy and put a simple CSS on all of the pages.

That looks really good for a school project. Yeah I probably should learn photoshop, not given up on design yet but yeah my site looked so bad. lol

I still worked hard on it and I overall did like it. The flash buttons looked so nice then again I only had 4 days to start and finish so... yeah!!
