Change design to make more $

I have been doing this for 2 years now, and i can tell you that it works..

Lets start.. You got a website selling some stuff, lets say ( templates or designs ) You have like 1000 visitors or so a day, and make a sale 2-5 times a day.

Now try and change your design or layout with a new one, no one els have ever seen. If you get more money a day now then hold on to the new design. If not then change it back after a few days.

2 months later, you try and change it one more time, and you do this every. 2-4 months.. ( i did )

Like i said 2 years have now gone and i am making 5x more then last year.

ps.. this is not only that i change the theme, but some other small stuff to that i cant say here But the main thing is the design. So think about it.. Got a question then please post..

Are you still getting the same amount of visitors every time you change designs? Is there any other variables changing like advertisment?

Yes i still get the same amount of visitors, also right now i am getting a few more members a day then i did with my old design, and with the same links on other sites.

Dont ever make a site to dark, i tryed it for a month and went down in new members a day. So now i am back to a new, but light - blue - black design.

Sounds like a good marketing ploy! Is there any colors that you noticed get more visitors/members than others?

yea, you dont want to use to light colors, to hard for the eyes in the long term, also not to dark colors.. I use a mix of light and dark and its going really good.

Also now that you got a forum here, try and get a template that no one els has, that will always help.

dark background colours for a website is a big no no, sometime i see links that interest me but when i visit the website and the background is black i just turn right back.

That is very interesting. I've also done what callis has done.

I wonder if there are specific colors that males prefer (on websites) vs females.

About this forum, I plan on getting one made soon. I'm think I will be going for a white background and a colorful foreground.

Well I don't sell anything on my site, and right now I have no way of tracking visitors, so I don't plan on changing anything, especially because layout changes are usually expensive if you can't do them yourself.

Its hard to say what males prefer, or anyother. What you can think of are what users you like to have,, like what age group,, you always need to have a template, theme, skin or whatever you use for the gategory your site works in.

WebMaster Forums Color: Bule - Light Green ( i will say as it is a place where you come to get information and help.. Design needs to be light for the eyes to look at for a longer time. ) You can also add some dark places ( but you need know what you are doing then )

ps. This is only my option..

You can increase revenue on any site dramatically by making the site more accessible. I try to use CSS, as well as carefully thinking about the scripts I have used to ensure my site will be usable by as many people as possible.

From a colours point of view, I tend to use light, with a splash of dark here and there - I too hate dark sites. If you are selling something, a professional design will net you more sales IMO!
