When you are coming up with a new design for a website, what design process do you go through?
I personally look at oswd.org and find a template that I think would suit my needs, then hack/edit it to meet my requirements.
If a job requires a custom template, I will look around at tutorials, or just create a custom one in photoshop, before slicing and coding up in dreamweaver.
What is your design process?
Lately is has been the same. When I was younger I would design from the ground up, starting with table layout and graphics last. Now I just go find a template or buy one. I'm into using CMS now and I generally buy a template and replace the old one. Hardly any work needs to be done and it looks very nice.

Make a list of everything I want to achieve first, then do a bit of browsing on net for some inspiration.
Then start designing layout in photoshop/illustrator, before carving up and using dreamweaver to bolt all together.
Occasionly use Visio as well for a site map before I begin
I either do it myself or I have another better guy do it for me. I know people who will make nice web designs for pretty cheap.
