About Installing Photoshop

Hi everybody, I have a question on photoshop. I tried to install adobe photoshop 7.0 on my computer which is Windows Vista but I can't seem to run the installer. I click setup but nothing appears. Anyone encounters this problem before? Teach me how to solve this problem. Thanks alot!

Adobe Photoshop 7.0 is a very old version of Photoshop. Photoshop 7.0 needs NT, 98, 2000, ME or XP to run - Vista is not supported.

You might want to look into Photoshop CS2 (9.0) or Photoshop CS3 (10.0).

Does Vista still have compatibility modes you can use?

Yea i found out my PS7 does not load on our new laptop. Which sucks badly. Guess its time to buy a new version.
