Not really, VWD is really good and I saw a lot of decent sites made with VWD. Dreamweaver is so annoying because it looks so much different than the software I'm used to. Macromedia obviously didn't read your blog post about common layouts

VWD is quite good only thing is dream weaver lets you edit several sites at once and interact with databases. Now your gonna tell me that VWD does that also aren't you?

Unfortunately not with MySQL. But with ASP.NET you can add and edit SQL databases, yes.

Man I am such a rookie. I am using Store Editor from Yahoo, but I am also using Frontpage to weave in some pages. I am learning a lot just reading these post.

Yeah front page is old and non existed anymore, you should get VWD. You could ask xav about it, but he advertised it really well around the forum

At least you can do some database stuff in VWD, Expression web probably works with mysql but I don't know.

I use Kompozer myself. It is pretty good and free.

I have tried dreamweaver and did not like it.

I like to do a lot of cut and pasting myself.

Dream weaver's really powerful but you can get VWD which is free and does most of the things that Dreamweaver does.
