    [Help]WYSIWYG Editor[Help]

Okay so i have downloaded a trial version of Adobe Dreamweaver so i can update my beta version of a text based game i am making due to the fact i am trying to make it unique as i am ok at making graphics.

But the problem is i am running Windows Vista 32 Bit Basic and i am not sure whether it is compatable Photshop CS4 works perfect (oh sorry didn't mention above Adobe Dreamweaver CS4 as well)

But now that i have installed it, it loads the first part like the license part before it loads the GUI type thing like it disappears and thats it i go to processes and its not running any more so my question is has anyone else come across this problem?

I have tried installing and uninstalling this plenty of times i origonally didn't download from Adobe website so i got rid of that installation version and i went a step back using restore to a previous point so the dll files were not stored from it and then got it from the official website but still have problems.

If so can anyone help me if you have had the same problem and if not can someone reccomend another WYSIWYG Editor free or one that you have to purchase don't mind would be greatly appreciated.

~ Regards Junes and if you have taken the time to read the entire above post i thank you in advance because i've rambled hard lol but want to give as much information as possible so you can give the best possible answer ta again

I have never had such a problem.. Did you try running it in compatible mode?

Here are some alternatives to dreamweaver that you might want to look at:

You can try KompoZer Portable & Nvu Portable | PortableApps.com - Portable software for USB drives but I would recommend starting to work on HTML/CSS if you will be doing more serious development.

I believe you will find compatible mode if you right click the shortcut and choose properties. On XP there is a dedicated tab for compatibility settings. You could try running it in XP compatibility mode and see if that helps. Or try Adobe support

Hand-coding is worth the effort. With a good editor you can make the changes en-masse easily and quickly.
