Linear Site And a Hierarchical Site?

Can somebody give me an example of a well known Linear Site And a Hierarchical Site ? All I am able to find is sites that are a mixture of both.

The reason you're having troubles is because neither model will satisfy the needs of a non-trivial site. SurveyMonkey.com allows you to create a survey, which will (probably) be linear. SurveyMonkey itself is not, however. FanFiction.net has a hierarchical structure for finding stories, but many of the user controls are not hierarchical in nature.

be considered a Hierarchical Site?
And I'm still having problems of finding an actual SITE ( not just a section of it) as a linear example. It's harder than some people might think lol
