I am being offered money to create a website for someone, and I need help considering what to do for graphical design. I would say I'm decent enough to write a web page using just HTML/CSS/Javascript. I do have experience in creating a website, but I never took part in the graphical design process. Should I just download a free template and modify that or should I take a different approach?
Is there anything any of you can suggest I can do (Considering I would want this done by 3-4 weeks I'm assuming)?
It depends on how creative you are, and whether you have something like Photoshop or not. I have never liked modifying other people's work, I find it much easier to do the whole thing myself. It gives me a greater understanding of how the site works, and makes it easier to maintain/edit in future.
I have to agree with Xav. Also, if they paid you for a website is one thin but if they paid you for a design it should be unique and in no way resemble another design.
