G'day everyone.
Me and Jordan were just discussing on MSN about the browser competition, mainly the ACID3 test.
The ACID3 test can be found here. No current browser in beta or alpha stages have got 100/100 on the ACID 3 test. From what I have read that Safari 4, only developer released, has got 100/100 on ACID3. Here is the comparison results.
The discussion here is, which is your favourite browser and why? Also if Safari 4 doesn't complete the ACID3 test who will be the first? If they did, who will be second inline?
Is IE8 in trouble?

Sorry if I don't post as often as I did, I'll try to get here as much as possible! I'm working my bum off to get this scholarship and other stuff!
Wow, FF3 only gets a 71/100. My guess would be that Opera will be the first to pass the ACID3 test. After all, on ACID2 they had the extra statement "Because simply passing isn't good enough". I have nothing to backup my claim or any insider information.
Opera seems to be dying off slowly yet still very popular.
You just need to a simple search on Google and you will find what you are looking for. Having a look at the results again, it seems that IE8 is just reaching over 20. Now that is bad![]()

I thought Opera was the most advanced, guess not
My test results:
FF 3.0.3: 71/100,
Safari 3.1.2 (windows): 75/100
Opera 9.27: 47/100
IE 7.0.5730.11: 13/100
I guess that's just one more reason to love FF![]()
71/100 FF 3.0.3 but thats good enough for meit more about the great futures that FF has no other webbrowser has the cool stuff FF has

Wow, look how bad IE7 did on it. Anyone have a beta version of IE8 for testing?
If you want something funny, Of the 4 browsers, IE7 is the only one that fails the ACID2 test.
That is horrible. IE is the one with the largest (richest) company backing it as well.
Indeed they are Jordan. IE has gone really bad!!
Apple has always been the best with their support for CSS, and they still keep that rank when Safari 4 will be released.

Well, FFs rumored 3.1 "will" be able to pass the Acid3 test and have a better js-reader and better image rendering power; but I still love webkit![]()
