Why did you install an old version? You should download the newer .NET versions (which are free)!

There are many problems when coming to publish your software in the .NET! like .NET framework and your program can be decompiled and converted to the source code very simple!

Yes, everyone has to have the .NET framework installed in order for your application to work which is a pain! But VB 6.0 had thousands of built-in bugs...

Well I think that nearly every programming language has flaws and bugs built-in
and as .NET now 3.0 is out so you will have to upgrade!! and thats another pain! with all these .NET versions!!!

It can be very difficult to pick up a new skill, especially when the training material starts off assuming you know more than you actually do!

Visual Basic is a much-enhanced version of the BASIC programming language and the BASIC Integrated Development Environment (IDE)

There are several alternatives that already exist and have great IDEs. Java is my personal favorite. It's an industry standard that has been adopted by the largest companies in the world. While it's not as easy to learn as VB, it's more powerful. If ease of use is the issue, make an IDE for Python. It's as easy as VB to learn, and a much better core language.
