Hey everyone, im new to visual basic, and i got visual c++.. but i was reading a tutorial on how to make a internet explorer, and it said to press CTRL+T. and nothing happend. and there was another button it told me to press and nothing happend, so if anyone knows what the problem could be, i would appreciate it.thanks.

I got both. But the program i was using that im having the problem with was visualbasci express 2008.

Ctrl+T should open up a new tab in the main window, if I remember correctly. Could you post the part of the tutorial that said to press that key combination? Maybe you misinterpreted the directions.

Now for the web browser, you'll need to add the component:
"Microsoft Internet Controls" You can get to the components window by press CTRL+T on the keyboard, then scroll down and tick "Microsoft Internet Controls".

After doing the above procedures, there should be a new item on the list of the tool bar. It looks like the Earth. Now click on it and drag it onto your Form, make it big because it's what you'll be using to view pages with.. Use this Name:
Name: wWeb




and then their is another part on their that has me pressin ctrl + E but that wont work either.


Ok to add a menu to the form you need to go to Tools>Menu Editor or just press CTRL+E.

I think I know what you're talking about. Bring up the toolbox (should be a tab on the left or right side). Right click in the toolbox, select "Choose Items...". A dialog box should pop up with a lot of different controls to choose from. Notice that there are three tabs--if the control you're looking for isn't in the first section (.NET Framework Components), tab into the second or third and see if it's there.

As for the menu editor, you can do either, but it depends on your keyboard shortcut settings. Just do it through the menus.
