Note: If you're using .NET, you can simply reference the Windows Scripting Host, and there's a class in there for creating shortcuts.

You can make a batch file to do that.

@echo off
COPY /Y [Your shortcut] C:\WINDOWS\Start Menu\Programs\StartUp\

then save it as something.bat

Batch is so ugly.

Look at my example of a Windows Service (my keylogger), another way to start a program at startup.
