Not necessarily! But that's probably the solution he's thinking of. I want to point out the possibility of doing this with VBA.. If that doesn't suit him, fine with me

Lies meinen anderen Posten! With VBA, you have to open the workbook first to execute it. The whole point was he doesn't have to open Excel, but manipulate the workbook through .NET.

    Aber Xav!
I don't see where he said that about the "whole point", but you might very well be right. Not everyone wants to open the workbook. But what you say about .NET is sort of *?!????!!*... Wasn't he using vb2005...?

He wants to open the workbook.

    Number two:

VB2005 IS VB.NET. Every version of Visual Basic after VB6 uses the .NET Framework - for example, VB2003, VB2005 and VB2008 are all VB.NET.

Now go ******* read something, you r-e-t-a-r-d-e-d gay ******.

    1) Uh no, by the time he has opened Excel and started the macro, it would have been easier to just click Ctrl-O and click the workbook!

    2) Yeah well, you're just a ******* gay ******* that codes in .NET, LAWL you fail.
