Hello, Ben here, I just recently joined your forums -- I'm a computer science master's student, the brunt of my experience being in developing C and Java.
Several friends and I have been developing a unique game that uses an in-game compiler, to make programming an aspect of the game-play. We have been busily promoting this game in the MMO community, but, given the nature of the game, we thought it might be worth trying to recruit some players from communities of software developers.
Along with being a fun MMO that appeals to the technically minded, we see the game as being a potentially fun way to teach the basics of programming -- the game already has many 'challenges' that are reminiscent of what might be done in a 1st year programming course.
Any ways, we're busily canvasing the Internet looking for potential Beta testers, let me know if anyone is interested.
