Fallout 3: Game of The Year Edition

Does anybody own the Fallout 3: Game of The Year Edition. Planning to buy this game on Christmas. As I have heard so many good or bad things about this game. Somebody on another message-board told me that the original game was pretty much broken and you wouldn't know until you are 40+ hours into the game. Want to know your own experience about this game.

i played Fallout3 the regular one, and it didnt crash once
awesome gameplay and entertaining story
it didnt even need a high requirements

Never played by Fallout 3 but I'd recommend:

COD4 MW2
Fight Night Round 4
Fifa 10
Batman

Fallout 3 is a great game. I never had problems with it when I rented it from Blockbuster. The GOTY Edition has all the add-ons and it's got all the patches on it.
