would i be dumb to learn JavaScript before Java? I could apply for a job at  http://chobots.net/j...development.php.. it's a kid game.

It'd be a good experience for me. I could then learn Java and help them with that too. This would get my name out there as a game developer, and I'd have a better idea of how games work so I can eventually build my own.. or do you think i shouldn't waste my time with javascript?

Welcome! A little over a year ago, I started out just like you. I'm still pretty noobish, but whatever. :) Codecademy has great Python, HTML/CSS, Ruby, JavasScript, JQuery, and PHP courses. Thenewboston has tutorials covering a wide variety of languages(C, C#, C++, Java, PHP, Visual Basic, and more).. I use both of those sites, and I think there both helpful.

1. I like the idea of having 3D graphics and the sound. i'm guessing I'd be able to make custom 3D graphics in Flash?

Dumb question nvm.
