Well i'm just starting out with VB.Net (new to programming) and trying to learn to make front ends for databases.. so I could be wrong.
So far one way i know of to perform sql statements is using the Data Adapter. You would store the sql statement in a variable and then call it using the data adapter, explains it here Visual Basic .NET programming for Beginners - Data Sets and Data Adapters
And there is the DataGrid which seems easy as you can just edit the SQL but I don't know how to interact with check boxes :(
