Microsoft Visual C++ DevStudio Add-in Wizard

26 April 2011 - 11:34 PM

I was given a task to write a simple add-in using microsoft visual c++ 6.0, but I cannot find any information about it. Of course, there are some explanations what it is and what it does but there are no exact examples. Could you write a very simple example with detailed comments?

Thanks in advance.

Basic input question

26 April 2011 - 11:16 PM

I'm trying to write a simple math program which computes the value of a trigonometric function. Basically just input one value and get another out, but I have two problems:
1. even with cmath included, the constant pi is not provided(I tried PI)
2. I can't seem to input values in the form of division ie 1/2, pi/3. I declared the input variable type double so does that mean you can't enter fractions during cin?

btw, I'm using Dev C++ V4.9.9.2

Thanks in advance

C++ classes

26 April 2011 - 02:20 AM

I've been having trouble understanding this code from the classes (2)section of the tutorials on this website:

// vectors: overloading operators example
#include <iostream>
using namespace std;

class CVector {
    int x,y;
    CVector () {};
    CVector (int,int);
    CVector operator + (CVector);

CVector::CVector (int a, int b) {
  x = a;
  y = b;

CVector CVector::operator+ (CVector param) {
  CVector temp;
  temp.x = x + param.x;
  temp.y = y + param.y;
  return (temp);

int main () {
  CVector a (3,1);
  CVector b (1,2);
  CVector c;
  c = a + b;
  cout << c.x << "," << c.y;
  return 0;

I don't understand why you do temp.x= x + param.x and temp.y= y + param.y. Any help would be great.
