Actually in c99 you can in fact assign structs, and make struct literals. Like this:
int main(void){
 struct t {int x} a;
 a = (struct t){10};

f() is a function returning a reference to an A object, in this case a1.

In Topic: Why is goto so bad?

If you consider break and continue statements evil, what about returns in the middle of a function?
bool prime(int x){
 for(int i=1;i<sqrt(x);i++)
  if(x%i==0)return false;//you would consider this evil, no?
 return true;
Non-structured flow is necessary for many algorithms. It's not evil, just complex.

I don't choose to stay thin; I just don't gain no matter what. Even sailing camp this summer (which consisted of carrying 4-metre boats into the water and out twice a day) didn't cause any change.
