As some of you know, I live in Canada, and in Canada we use the metric system. The metric system eliminates fractions in conversions in favor of simple powers of ten. However, there are still things in this system that I loathe.

Today my dad needed to extract the text from a pdf. Sounds easy, right, you would just click and drag, then ctrl-C/ctrl-V. Alas, no. Adobe Reader allows the pdf to make it impossible to copy stuff onto the clipboard. Similarly, a pdf can make it impossible to print it.
