Hey,
this "tutorial" is basically a reading list to take you from no understanding of AI to workable understanding. AI is a big topic, and pretty advanced, so this is a several-months tutorial.
First, watch this:

This is a series of video lectures on AI, detailing all the basic theory. It's free and *really* great.
Second, read "Artificial Intelligence: A modern approach".
This book covers pretty much every subfield, and gives you a good base, and pseudocode, to help understand the problems of AI.
Third, make sure you understand as much theory as possible. The field of AI is not yet at a point where AI can be developed from what we know, so all really cutting-edge AI work will also be theoretical. It will be useful to understand all of these concepts:
MIT OpenCourseWare | Electrical Engineering and Computer Science | 6.001 Structure and Interpretation of Computer Programs, Spring 2005 | Home
As well as this:
MIT OpenCourseWare | Electrical Engineering and Computer Science | 6.006 Introduction to Algorithms, Spring 2008 | Home
These are the links and lectures I never managed to find on my own when starting my journey into AI. I hope somebody will find them useful.
