Introduction:-
Ok so I register with a lot of websites and sometimes I receive spam from them but I cannot identify which ones are spamming me, so I found this little trick
Let's start
Login into your Gmail account and create a label for the website you are signing up with, so for example if you are going to sign up, for example at forum.codecall.net , then make a label named CodeCall if you don't know how see this picture:-
You will find that below your contact list on the Left
And create the Label there
Now click on Settings ( It's at the very top Right of the page ) and then choose filters, then click on 'Create a new filter' then near the 'To:' field write your Gmail address + CodeCall for example youradress+CodeCall@gmail.com as follows:-
And Click 'Next Step' and then Select 'Apply the label:' and choose CodeCall as follows:-
and choose 'create filter' now you are done, register with the website with the email address youradress+CodeCall@gmail.com all the received emails from that website will be marked with the label so in that way if you see them with the label marked as CodeCall you will know that, that spam message was received from CodeCall
Conclusion:-
Hope this helped to beat the spamming world a little more! BTW if you just don't want to see the spam messages instead of Choosing 'Apply the label:' choose 'Delete it'!! and you are spam free!!
Coool man!!!
Thanks for this solution. There was a time when people used to be excited to check their emails. And if more than 3 or 4 emails are there in the inbox, then they used to bcom too happy.
Bu now..... people get excited and happy if they see less than 3 or 4 emails. Just see how spammers hav changed the time.
Well, atleast through this we can keep an eye over them, or if not an eye then atleast a "label" over them!!!
Thanks man, is good idea! ThanksI will use it
