First of, my explaining isn't the best, so I apologize in advance for any misunderstandings.

I'm creating an app where you can choose an activity to do, then the nearest places for this activity will show on google maps (like you would search for McDonalds on google maps and the closest locations would show).

The app starts in the Main Activity where different "activites" (ex. Bowling) are presented in checkbox form.

At the bottom is a button.

The problem:

When the button is pressed, I want to check if any checkbox has been checked, and if so search for that place on the googlemaps activity that will open.

I don't know how to send this information to the Google Maps Activity so that a location search can take place

In the main activity I check the Bowling checkbox and press the button.

New Google maps activity shows with "Bowling" search made.

The onClickListener so far. (removed failed attempts code)

public void onClickButtonListener() {
button_Ok = (Button)findViewById(R.id.button);
bowling = (CheckBox)findViewById(R.id.checkBox);
button_Ok.setOnClickListener(new View.OnClickListener() {
public void onClick(View v) {

Intent intent = new Intent("com.google.android****");

Any help/pointing in the right direction is helpful!
