I'm not able to open Clipper application (app is 15 years old) because i'm getting :
error dbfntx/1012 corruption detected
Anyway to fix corrupted dbf besides restore from last backup?
Please advise.

I have never worked with clipper but i read a bit online about the error you were getting i found people recomending

First make sure that the file type is the right one for the operation.

For index files, make sure that the type of index matches the driver
being used (e.g., .ntx for DBFNTX). Try recreating the database file
and/or index files.

I also found theese links:

As i said i have never worked with clipper, this is just what i got from reading a bit.

This depends on the corruption range.
Sometimes this bug is reported when the physical number of records does not correspond to file size (it is good), sometimes it means ovewritten file heading which is not so good but you may replace this heading by one from the backup, sometimes the curruption affects even data the the restore older file is the best choice.
Backup the corrupted file and try some of many DBF repair or recovery utilities
DBF Repair Kit - http://www.dbf.repair/
You may ZIP the DBF (and possible memo) and post it here to allow some expert file overview. (EE does not allow DBF upload, you have to add .TXT extension to your files.)

Before jumping in and trying any fixes on that database, rebuild the index files.
