What software should I use in developing android programs on Linux O.S?

In essence obviously any text editor will do. For IDEs you can look at IntelliJ, Netbeans or Eclipse. They're all Java IDEs with android plugins available.

I Don't know what to use in developing an android programs on my Linux mint OS. PLease help. TIA!

Linux Mint has a nice little editor called gedit. However, if you want the real stuff, you really should use Android SDK
