I'd like to listen to music that goes well with coding.

Can you tell me what are you listening while coding? I want to try out new bands and albums.

Thanks!

For programming, I listen to a lot of commercial house. It's uplifting and I feel it really gets me in the mood to code. Either that or some trance :D

It depends on what I'm coding, what my mood is, etc. My go-to bands are Gorillaz, Unkle, and Beats Antique, with They Might Be Giants seeing frequent use as well.

I don't listen to music while coding anymore.

But it's a personal choice, from chill-out to death metal I've seen coders listening to them.

Normally I have all my mp3 on random, and when I find something I'm in the mood, I load their discography

Two band that come back a lots: blue october and mindless self indulgence

I can't listen to music while I code because, as a musician, I start to pay more attention to what is happening in the music than to the code.

But when I did listen, it was mostly to my own stuff (house, techno, instrumental hip hop beats...)

Dubstep sounds like the way you have to walk through a park after a dog walking parade.

When I'm coding I listen pop music and some radio stations.
My friend talk me about 'nightcore', may be interesting.

Electronic Genres such as: Dubstep (Not a whole lot), Hardstyle, Nightcore (If I'm feeling it), Trance, Psycadelic Trance, Hard House, House, Smooth House, EDM, etc. I find slow Hip Hop not too shabby also.
