There are multiple ways to secure your application but the question is what part of your application would you like to secure?

  • Secure the entire source code from being decompiled?
  • Secure the log in form?
  • Secure this?
  • Secure that?

You could obfuscate your code to protect your entire source code with a tool called ProGuard (DexGuard).

You could make all the log in events pass through your server and let the server do all of the hard work. That way you would not have to store the database authentication in your code.
