Since it's summer (yay!) and everyone has the little bit more free time to spend on Codecall, it seems like a good time to remind you all of our conduct guidelines. Codecall is unlike other forums in that we enforce a policy of courteousness and respect to other members no matter what. Hostility to other members is not allowed, regardless of situation or perceived status.
If you're here to answer questions, please be respectful of the fact that many people don't know what they need to know. In other words, someone asking a seemingly 'stupid' question probably doesn't actually know what they need to learn in order to complete their task. Therefore, directing them to Google, or telling them to read tutorials is unhelpful unless you can point them specifically to what they need to learn about.
Similarly, most people won't pick up new concepts straight away, and may need to ask further questions. Sometimes they'll attempt to implement what you've shown them, and completely mangle their code.
If you're here to get help, please be polite to the members offering their time. try to avoid bumping your posts, asking the same question repeatedly, or posting your question in other forums or topics while you wait. If someone asks you for more information, you'll almost always need to answer their questions before they can help you. Finally, our policy is not to do the work for you - you'll need to put at least some effort into understanding the code yourself.
Please remember that you aren't entitled to help - the members helping with threads here do so because they choose to. It's a good idea to remember to say thanks after you've got an answer, too.
General Conduct Guidelines
Our Conduct Guidelines can be found here. You can also PM a moderator if you're not sure whether your post will be allowable or not. Usually, if you have to ask, the post is probably not allowable, so I recommend asking before you post!
Regardless of how anyone else behaves on the forum, you are responsible for your own posts. Someone else making inappropriate posts doesn't mean it's okay for you to do the same - and if you do, the fact that someone else also violated the rules won't let you off without punishment.
In all cases, please be patient and polite. If you feel a member is out of line, use the 'report post' button to alert a moderator to the thread.
Thanks for reading! Any questions of concerns, please reply here or PM me or one of the mod team.
