Guys can anyone help me with allegro library. I'm making a student information system and have made the welcome screen using allegro in C.

I have made a few rectangles and written login, exit, help, etc. but how to make these rectangles into buttons? I mean how to make them clickable and then open a new box if we click on login or help button?

You could make a rectangle above the "button" and check if the mouse was clicked inside the rectangle and if it was do what u wanted to do. Im not sure at all that is the best way, Im new to making menus and games myself but from the top of my head that is what i would do.
