AJAX, JavaScript incompatibility with IE8

Hi Guys, I am working on a small Javascript project involving also jQuery and Ajax. You can see how it works by going over here and clicking on the "Get Started" button:

So basically the whole things works just fine under Chrome, Firefox, Opera, Safari and even IE9 but I unfortunately it doesn't work under IE8 and I need to fix that. However all my efforts to discover the problem so far have failed. Hope you guys can help me.

IE comes Dev Tools ... Hit F12 or something ... then you should be able to debug your script live.
