FTP Password Change

Can anybody tell me how to change FTP password on Windows XP..

When I m using the following command:

Literal SITE PSWD oldpassword newpassword

at ftp> command prompt then I m getting following error:

500 SITE pswd is an unknown extension

The following link is not fruitful:


Please help me friends. I m awaiting u...

QUOTE SITE PSWD oldpassword newpassword

If that doesn't work, check the control panel on the site to see if it has a "change FTP password" function. If not, contact your host's tech support people.

Original/official ftp protocol does not have changing password command. So the "QUOTE SITE xxxx yyy" is an extension that only usable in certain ftp server, which might need to be activated by the administrator.

So, check with your ftp administrator.
