Hi everyone, I just launched http://shortn.us ! It's a VERY simple link shortening service with a trending links feature. Right now, links are 10% shorter than bit.ly's links and up to 30% shorter than other shortening services. An even shorter URL is being held as a reserve for post-beta shortening. Many VERY short urls are still available. Any suggestions and/or feedback would be appreciated! Thanks for checking it out!

Looks great but you need to validate the data people give in the URL field. Also, double check your database and make sure that data is being properly sanitized, because faulty / invalid input data gives unexpected output, which may suggest the possiblity of SQL injection.

Good points, for sure... I don't validate URLs yet, which I probably should... I do sanitize any and all input, so I shouldn't be vulnerable to SQLi, but I'll keep an eye out.

EDIT: Someone has been trying... I see some javascript injection attempts...

Those weren't me, I only tried one set of special characters to see how your program reacted :)
