Yes - but I wouldn't say its necessarily any better or worse than the other options out there. It is gaining popularity at the moment, but I wouldnt' recommend switching over if you're already skilled in one serverside language. Of course, like with any language it depends what you want to be able to build with it

Ruby is a high level programming language. Rapidly it became more popular for its dynamic, reflective, general purpose object-oriented programming language which combines syntax inspired by Perl with Smalltalk-like features. It is an easy learning open source and object oriented programming languages with less coding and fewer bugs.
