Here's an applet version of connect4 I made. Its quite basic(thanks to my limited capability).

Connect4 is a game in which a player can drop a ball of his color in one of the 10 columns, each 10 rows high. The aim of the game is to connect 4 balls of your color. Its basically quite similar to Tic-Tac-Toe, except you can't place the ball anywhere you please. It drops to the bottommost empty row.

What does your game do? Can you add a short description to it? I think more people will download it if they know what it is.

This game is actually quite popular as a board game(I don't know the manufacturer).
P.S. My version has a few bugs, it is a better run on appletviewer. Scrolling
down often results in the applet reverting to the introduction screen. Could anyone tell me why this happens and how to fix it?

This thread has been inactive for a while. Could you post the games you listed?

BTW, here's a basic version of Snake I made. Its actually test code, but with the kind of syllabus pressure i'm facing at the moment, I may never finish it.

About sir, I don't think i quite qualify for that title. As for making games, you can think of creating software versions of popular board games and stuff(like chess, tic-tac-toe, etc.) as well as existing video games, although how that would turn out as a thesis I have no idea. For other stuff, some ideas are a personal notes and reminders manager, calender, Graph drawers for functions, etc. If you are trying to create something new, try giving twists to known games, like 3/4 player tic-tac-toe with larger fields, snake with power ups and foods of different types, etc. You could even try for role-playing games of mario type, depending on experience. For an experience of how to code a basic game interface, try this code:

I would suggest using Netbeans IDE's form editor to create your UIs. Making swing put things exactly where you want to can be really difficult at times.
