Whats The Best Editor / Ide?

Just started learning php, whats the best text editor or ide for me to use? N++ only debugs the text I entered and not the actual script. So need another option

There are several. Me myself use phpDesigner, but netbeans is also popular, Zend Studio is another one, and there are more, but I can't name them right now...

Netbeans is good - just really sluggish. Visual Studio is also good. There are some PHP extensions for Visual Studio.

I downloaded the more popular extension for Visual Studio, its good but its a trial and i just put my money down for a car so really only freeware is good right now,
Giving phpstudio trial a go, good but trial...
Now with PHPDesigner

phpdesigner has a free version that isn't bad, a little older version that's free, but i don't mind. programming php in visual studio feels wrong, but it could work of course.

aptana is good
phpstorm its very good ....

I'm pretty impress with JetBrain's products (phpStorm), their products seem to be very good. I personally haven't' use it but I would recommend it.

I will try all of these, and yes I am using ubuntu and windows.
