To access the query string, one needs to use the Request.QueryString collection, but any search I've done so far returns how to do that using VBScript ASP, not JScript ASP  ; I don't want to learn VBScript, and besides, I already have almost all of the site written in JScript so far.

Can anyone please tell me how to access query fields from ASP JScript (JavaScript)?

I've tried this:
Request.QueryString["place"]
, etc., but that just returns 'undefined' , even though I did include that field in the URL. It's not fair that just about every example of ASP is written in VBScript  .

Thanks in advance.

Okay, I got the answer already. This link helped some:
HTTP Server Variables

It's
Request.QueryString("place")
, even though it's JavaScript; I don't get how it works, since QueryString is a collection and not a method, but it worked.

Thanks anyway.
