I don't mean to kill you with stack, but it seems other people have had the same issue:
css - Background image color changes firefox/chrome - Stack Overflow
html - background-color:#070707; different in photoshop than in browser - Stack Overflow
firefox - Can I get consistent CSS colors across browsers? - Stack Overflow

This is a problem. Me, I don't trust a image to have the same colors as a webpage anywhere, so if someone makes a image like that, I'll usually ask them to make a transparent png image which can be put on top of the background color.

I'm a System developer at XLENT Consultant Group mainly working with SugarCRM.
Please DO NOT send mail or PM to me with programming questions, post them in the appropriate forum instead, where I and others can answer you.
