Hey,
I'm very new to coding , I really don't know much about it , i know some things, but like bits and pieces.
I found this site and thought it would be a great asset for learning, I'm trying to learn Java at the moment.
Could anybody reading this tell me how they got started? I'm trying to look for a compiler, i found eclipse, but I don't get how to use it :/
Any books i should check out thanks very much! and I hope I can become good enough someday that I too can help your community :)

I got started by reading books. Then I read more books, then more... You get the idea.

There are many books, I do not know any off the top of my head regarding Java however sites such as Amazon (and there are betters) have many user reviews, some of professionals in the field quoting on complexity or if it is suitable for a beginner. I am sure you'll fall in love at first site with one when you see it, as long as it is written by a reputable author.
Welcome.
Alexander. :)
