Hello, I'm looking for a program do to the following, so far I haven't been able to find out on the web, this seemed like a possible place to ask. The features are a combination of a few things I've already used. The features are fairly standard things, probably needs less than 1MB of code, unless anyone knows of a program that already does it

Be able to search for a user specified (1 to 500 for eg) number of random normal image files (eg jpg, gif) from user specified directories (say up to 20 directories), and display these images in a randomly ordered thumbnail brick wall or thumbnail column list

(like xp has order by date time size, but also with a random option available. also like xp search, but random search)


on the brick wall preview page, i'd like to be able to set the thumbnail size and specify the space between the thumbnail 'bricks' from none to something. (like acdsee does, but faststone doesnt)


the main thumbnail list window i'd like to be able to make narrow enough to show one column of images (like visipics, or just have a column format as an option), and would like a preview box visible as well (like faststone fit to window preview, actual size preview, maybe double click to open in picture viewer option)

a little bit like the above 3 image viewers, but with the addition of the 'search for X number of random files from directories xyz

Or wondered if anyone knew if there is a way to do a script in XP, to search for 'X' number of random files. I dont know anything about scripting, but willing to read up an hour or two. thanks.
