Hey, all.

I want to create my own bookmarking software and don't know which language to learn.

It should do the following.

- account creation
- email activation
- bookmark submission
- get story url's
- multithreaded
- captcha support
- proxy support
- password protected (licensing system)

The sites are bookmarking sites like pligg, scuttle, phpdug and publicbookmark.
The software would allow me to register on 1000's of sites at once, activate my email and publish my website on all sites.

What language would be the best for that job? Thanks!

PS: here is an example for such a site Sweet BookmarksPublished

Your project can be done in almost any language. Nothing that is language specific there.

Chose a language that interests you, what languages do you currently know?

Saying you can optimize a program is like saying you understand how a program works on every level of every facet on a specific machines configuration.

Thank you so far!

I know a little bit C++. I heard doing it in java will be slow. But the software should be very fast and get a high success rate... many websites use anti spam protection, so maybe it's better if it's a browser based and not socked based and if the software can simulate keyboard input and mouse movements.

Where can i hire a good programmer? I think its the best way to do it...
