Hello,
My school has wireless which is on a domain name, however I just got a new computer with home premium and they say I have to pay x for a upgrade to Win 7 Professional and $200 for them to configure it to the network! I have my username and password on the network, also I have heard of a way to connect your phones to the network using your username and password.
The network is called 81tuc2 but my Dell sees it as "Other Network" which requires a username and password to connect. My old laptop is on the domain XYZSTUDENT... Can I get my new laptop to connect with these details? Without paying 100s of dollars?

Please, write clearly with proper structure. Double spacing makes the text feel un-jointed, Capitalizing Every Word Means People Stop Before Every Word Sub-Consciously Which Is A Pain In The Backside, and use code tags! (The right most styling box).

Windows Home can connect to the wireless, but not join a domain, just work groups. Kinda dumb if you ask me.

So there's no free alternative (like a patch or connection emulator?), F-(censored by the SOPA act, this word is Trademarked).

Have you read anything from here? [Solved] Login to a domain in windows 7 Home Premium - config-customize - windows-7
It seems several people have the same problem and a work-around is listed by meekiah.
