Hello guys, can anyone here please tell me what are the function of visual basic programming language and Java?As far as I know, VB is just to make the programming process easier and Java is more to object oriented.Please enlighten me more and correct me if im wrong.Thank you

- Programming Language:C, C++, PL/SQL, Delphi/Object Pascal, Pascal, Transact-SQL, Others
- Learning:Java, C#, PHP, JavaScript, Lisp, Fortran, Haskell, Others
They are two completely different languages. They are both Object Oriented, with different histories and purposes, but can do pretty much the same things.

-Java is platform independent.
-Visual Basic isn't platform independent, but their is a version of it on Linux/Mac as part of the Mono project.
