stumbled onto this forum the other day - looks to be a great source of info !!

im a total newbie to programming, have worked for many years in desktop support - just recently started learning C to get a grip of the fundamentals.
i dont think i have looked at languages since BASIC at school ( And that was a long time ago ) !!
i know people who work in software developement , and always just assumed programming was another world that unless you were very good at maths - just wasnt for me.
i have this absolute beginners guide to C which i am working through - have to say i may be finally understanding !!

i really want to change direction at work- would be amazing to land a role where i could get some programming experience..
keep thinking my age may go against me now though (44)

thanks
Andy

Welcome aboard! I didn't get a job that involved programming 'til I was 35, so it's not too late, yet.
Programming is a branch of mathematics.
