Hello,

I joined because I needed some career advice from fellow coders. I'd also like to share knowledge I've acquired with other programmers. A way to pay some stuff back after all the years I've spent googling. And of course troll for information when I may need it myself.

I work on Synergy (similar to Cobol). PHP, VB6, .NET.

Welcome aboard! How did you find yourself working with Synergy?

The company I work for, their data entry system and record keeping is built around the language. I've gotten pretty good with reading and writing to ISAM files and handling the information. Interfaces are a whole different ball game. Makes me appreciate the .NET world.

Welcome to CodeCall, Ash.

I don't know what Synergy or Cobol are, save for the part that they're probably computer languages; I mostly use JavaScript, C, and assembly. Google searching is not always an easy task, I could say, especially when one doesn't know how to word the question/problem.
