Write the declarations for variables to hold a department code (which is a letter), hourly wage, number of dependents, last name, and a constant to hold the current FICA rate of 7.75%.

Psuedocode is quite simple! Declarations are the same.

Some languages do not require declarations, such as Python.

Write the declarations for variables to hold a department code (which is a letter), hourly wage, number of dependents, last name, and a constant to hold the current FICA rate of 7.75%.

start
declarations
str departCode
num hrWage
num dependents
str lastName
num FICARATE

FICARATE equals .0775

stop

As I said, its quite simple. You basically are using short/bad english.
str = string value
num = numerical value
