Greetings,

I have an annoying problem, where i connect to a file in ftp-mode (via vim). When i have finished editing the file, i close it then it leaves me back at the terminal.

So basically, When i close the file, i still want to be in vim, looking at the server directories not at the console (Were i need to type vim; vim ftp://domain@domainname.com/ then type my password) Which is very annoying when i have to do multiple edits.

Any help would be amazing.

Cheers,

-Scott.C

Can you just SSH in (or whatever) and then use vim there?
sudo rm -rf /

Greetings,

Vim has a default plugin that lets you connect to a ftp server.

I have also just then stumbled across the answer to my question.

:Explore sends you back to the previous directory in the ftp server.
