Hi all ! I'm new here. I looking for algorith for "mark read" in forums like vbulletin and phpbb.
Can you help me ? I dont know to make it ...

What kind of forum system? Own built? Do you mean all forum or parts? I need more info to be able to give you a better answer.

It's going to depend on the database structure. In general, I would have a table that lists the user, thread, and last read post for each user.

All Forums :)
Its seems large database for 1 000 users to check did they see last commentar. I think.... Sorry for my bad English :)
