Knowing the company I work for would almost completely identify who I am :) With that said, I do a LOT of different things, from database migrations to Delphi coding, ColdFusion/ASP coding to system configuration/report writing.

sadly, freelance is a lot of luck.
Ask your friend and family to talk about you, maybe they will find you a contract... this is how I get most of my contracts

@isuru : Or try odesk.com or elancing.com... What is your strongest language?

As for my daily job - I prepare/give technical presentations, review/do requirement docs and have meetings...

I do what ever people want me to do for $20 an hour, mostly computer repair. Still in college though... trying to start a company or something like that since the economy is just the worst.

odesk and elancing or ANY website like that usually sucks. I never go to them because I saw how low of rates people were asking. I would see a posting that would pay $50 for a couple weeks of programming... really?

I'm a final year student (part time) at UWI in the Caribbean. Day job, well lets just say it sucks. I also build customs pc's for friends and family. Its only in the last year or so i developed an addiction for writing code.
