Just curious how some other people came across CodeCall? Obviously we found it over the internet, but what were you searching for when you came across this? Were you searching for a coding community, or searching for help on a snippet and found the forum helpful?
I, myself, found CodeCall by searching for a coding community, since the last one I was at was FILLED with flamers and "trolls". If you're going to find a coding community, for your safety, DO NOT choose Moparisthebest.
All you'll get are flamers, and cocky people who think they're better than you. No-one actually wants to help there.
How did YOU find CC? :)

I was searching for a coding community and some different results ended up with CodeCall. I joined and I like it so far. This week's been hectic with school work though.
Everyone here seems to have each other's back and really into it. A+ for CC. :D

I completely agree with you! My school schedule is busy as well; but luckily, I do my school work on the computer all day! And half of my school schedule is a Computer Science class, so I'm coding all day long. :)

Oh hey really? You're a Comp Sci major?!
Hit me up on Skype bro!

Not a Comp Sci major... yet ;) Haha, but I'm going to a Comp Sci school, which is teaching me everything I need to know to go into the major. :) I'm learning C++ and *possibly* going to start C# by next semester.
I'm also doing work with Web Dev, learning more of PHP and CSS, because I already am completely fluent in HTML. ;P I was debating whether to learn HTML5 yet or not, but I think I'm holding off.

Oh lucky you. My school didn't have anything of the sort with computers. In college I've declared Comp Sci and I'm learning C++. Next semester they're elaborating more on C++ and then they get into Java eventually. We should definitely work together though, having someone else to learn with is fun, and no one in my Comp Sci class spends their time on their computers much to really chill with and just check out the stuff!
Edit: I'm on Skype now and accepted your request, but Skype seems to be a bit slow tonight.

My school doesn't really have anything at all about computers, except for the robotics/programming club that hasn't even started for this year (the club was started by my math teacher last year). My school is on a college campus, and students can take the college classes, so I could decide to go there, but I'm not majoring in computer science, therefore it wouldn't make sense to. And also, I already know programming, so it won't make sense to learn it again.

Okay, to get back on topic, I knew programming before I came to this community. I worked on programs, etc., and I sometimes needed more information/guidance. So I searched on Google for things, and a lot of the results were pointing to forum threads. I saw that there are people talking on those forums.
Some time later, I decided to find some forum, so that I can talk about programming too. I searched on Google for programming forums, and CodeCall came up. I signed up for it. Then also I found another forum, save for about technology, rather than programming; I signed up for that too. I found the two forums similar. But I didn't go on that forum that much.
Because I haven't logged in to that forum for about as much time as I was part of this forum, I forgot my username and password for that forum. I even forgot what that forum's name is. :( But it's not too bad, because I'm not even planning to go to that forum.

Hmm, that's kind of how I was with finding a coding forum. My friend in Comp Sci referred me to Moparisthebest, and all that's there is cocky "know it all" people, which makes it less enjoyable. Hell, Mopar doesn't even have an Introduction/Introduce Yourself...
Here, everyone is very welcoming, and supports each other. I just want to discuss code as well, so I guess this is a good place to. :)

By the way, was the 'Introductions' section of the forum here when I joined? I don't remember any introduction part of the forum back then; neither did I write any introduction.
I kind of jumped right in to this forum, and got to asking questions, and then, later on, started contributing to answering questions as well. The first thread I started was about 'what are the different kinds of processors' (ie Intel, ARM, PowerPC, ...).

Ah, not sure. I just registered today. ;P Found it during class because I was "fed up" with the others I was on. :) Glad this one is working out well.

I found it ages ago when I was looking for help on something, after a while I joined but was inactive for aeons. However when my love for PHP was kindled I found the site and have since become addicted :).
Please, write clearly with proper structure. Double spacing makes the text feel un-jointed, Capitalizing Every Word Means People Stop Before Every Word Sub-Consciously Which Is A Pain In The Backside, and use code tags! (The right most styling box).

I've become addicted as well. And I just registered yesterday (11/8/11). It's a great forum and community. :)
